State Update

The Spartans are still in Greensboro today wrestling in the North Carolina State tournament. Junior Ian Clark, second year wrestler, lost two tough matches yesturday at his first state tournament but gained a lot of experience and hunger to place next year. Ian finished his junior year with 37 wins and 13 lossed. Senior Tyree Linen went 2-2 at the state tournament being knocked out via pinfall in the consolation quarterfinals. Tyree finished his senior year with 44 wins and only 9 losses. Blane McElreath and Philip Price still have a garunteed two rounds left to wrestle after winning their matches in the consolation quarterfinals. If they lose their next match they still wrestle for 5th and 6th place! Blane lost his first match 11-2, won the rest so far: Pin, 10-4 and a pin. Philip lost is first match via pinfall but won the rest: 2-1, pinfall and 3-1. Goodluck Spartans!
